ST. ROSE OF LIMA CATHOLIC CHURCH

Our youth program provides Christian fellowship, community, and prayer for high school (9th-12th grade) teenagers. 'Life Nights' occur every Sunday from 6-7:30 p.m. after the 4:30 Youth Mass, and are led by the youth minister and the Core team, who have been trained in youth ministry and have a passion for leading the teens closer to Christ.

Nuestro programa para jóvenes proporciona comunión cristiana, comunidad y oración para todos los adolescentes en "high school" (grados 9-12). Edge is our jr. high youth group (7th-9th grade). Edge Nights occur every other Wednesday from 6:30-8 p.m. This is a time for fellowship, food, games, activities, prayer, and more.

At St. Rose, youth begin the preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation in 7th grade. This process involves 2 consecutive years of Faith Formation. For more details on our Confirmation preparation, please contact our youth ministry coordinator at joshua.h@strosechurch.org.

The Core Team is a team of committed members of the Church who have chosen to volunteer their time and talents to minister to the youth. With the St. Rose Youth mission in mind, each Core member is trained in basic youth ministry skills, from facilitating small groups to public speaking to leading prayer sessions. Above all, they are committed to forming relationships with the youth and being strong witnesses of the Catholic faith. Life Teen Core time commitment: Sundays 5:30-8pm (Life Night) and every other Tuesday 7-8:30 pm (Core meeting)

El equipo 'Core' es un equipo de miembros comprometidos de la Iglesia que han elegido ofrecer voluntariamente su tiempo y talentos para ministrar a los jóvenes. Con la misión de la Juventud de Santa Rosa en mente, cada miembro del 'Core' está capacitado en habilidades básicas del ministerio juvenil, desde facilitar grupos pequeños hasta hablar en público y dirigir sesiones de oración. All teens in 10th-12th grade are invited to join our Teen Leadership Team. Teen Leaders are the high-school volunteers that help lead our jr. high Edge nights.
In order to join, you will need to complete the application below and commit to coming to the church every Wednesday at 6.

Every Sunday we center our ministry on the eucharist by celebrating a 'youth mass' at 4:30pm, directly prior to the Life Night. Not only will you find a mass that uses contemporary worship music, but you will see the youth of the community leading and assisting as greeters, readers, extraordinary ministers, alter servers, musicians, and more. All are welcome to fulfill the Sunday mass obligation by attending this evening Mass. Todos los domingos centramos nuestro ministerio en la eucaristía celebrando una misa de jóvenes a las 4:30 p. m., antes de la Noche de la Vida. No solo encontrará una misa que usa nueva música de adoración, sino que verá a los jóvenes de la comunidad ayudando como saludadores, lectores, ministros extraordinarios, monaguillos, músicos y más. Todos son bienvenidos a asistir a la misa vespertina (en inglés).

Generation Z (those who were born between 1995 and 2015) is unlike any other generation before them. Facing the reality
that young people are becoming less religious, are less likely than ever before to claim a religious identity, and are no longer being raised with a Christian worldview, we are taking an entirely new approach to how we talk about religion and our Catholic faith
with teens. Before they can care about what the Church teaches, they need to know that God exists. Before we can teach them details about morality, they need to know that there is absolute truth. Before we can expect them to be excited or invested in the Mass and the sacraments, they need to know Jesus.

As a Eucharist-centered movement within the Roman Catholic Church, St. Rose Youth Ministry leads teenagers and their families into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ and His Church. With the Blessed Virgin Mary as our intercessor and guide, we seek to unleash the fullness of the Sacramental power present within the young Church.

Como un movimiento centrado en la Eucaristía dentro de la Iglesia Católica Romana, el Ministerio Juvenil de Santa Rosa lleva a los adolescentes y sus familias a una relación más profunda con Jesucristo y Su Iglesia. Con la Santísima Virgen María como intercesora y guía, buscamos dar rienda suelta a la plenitud del poder Sacramental presente en la joven Iglesia.
